Remnant 2 - Nerud Towers

Nerud is the area I worked on the most in Remnant 2. I love the sci-fi horror aspect of the storyline (honestly would read a whole book on Nerud lore, its so cool), and it was a great opportunity to get out of my comfort zone. Ken Darmadi made a lot of killer prop concepts for this area, and Aleksei Kovalenko came up with the initial viz dev work that we were able to build on to make the zone.

Callouts for the towers once we had landed on a direction that we liked. I wanted everything to feel pulled upward from the presence of the black hole.

Callouts for the tower walls. I wanted to make it look like everything was decaying, but the materials were very strange, unnatural, and skeletal.

First passes at the tower biome. We knew we wanted large towers with bridges, but how to make that work?
